Job Description:

An excellent opportunity to obtain first hand, in depth experience about the operations, challenges of small tech-startup companies, while making a direct impact on furthering progress and working directly with well established businesses in Toronto.
This role is a full time E-commerce and Digital Marketing Operations internship position, focusing mainly on our top client in Toronto. The eligible candidate will also work on 6IXSENSES’s internal operations by helping with business development work.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will show an attitude and willingness to learn, take on new challenges and envision a long-term career path with the company. The ideal candidate is willing to get a 360 degree experience from the company and is able to demonstrate an ability to think and work like an entrepreneur within a team setting as well as independently with minimal supervision. This position encompasses everything in the realm of digital marketing, making the clients’ business stand above the competition.The right individual will be writing ad copies, creating ad campaigns, optimizing landing pages, working with the content marketing manager, and the management team to deliver the highest results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducting digital marketing SEM (search engine marketing) activities such as Google ads, Bing Ads, Social Media Ads, and retargeting ads across all channels to increase online presence of the client’s product
  • Create ads
  • Optimize ads
  • Ensure high deliverability and conversion
  • Manage strategy and setup all paid campaigns
  • Measure and optimize paid marketing using vendor-specific dashboards, Google Analytics, and HubSpot landing page sources reports
  • Research and test partnerships with new vendors to expand, reach and/or lower cost-per-acquisition
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates to maintain a consistent brand voice and message across all paid programs
  • Craft landing pages in order for content to be distributed through relevant paid programs
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends, potential new channels and strategies to be ahead, including updates to social media marketing

Internal 6IXSENSES Duties

  • Creation of a pitch deck and a credentials deck
  • Developing a user acquisition strategy
  • Develop a local and international expansion strategy
    Designing and implementing marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience
  • In-depth knowledge of the various paid marketing channels and technologies, including paid search, retargeting, social network advertising (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and more), content distribution and placement networks like Outbrain and Taboola
  • Excellent communicator with ability to sell and convince. The ideal candidate will also manage all relationships with vendors with skills on using the most cost effective solution
  • Experience handling marketing budgets and forecasting/reporting results
  • Google and or Bing Ad certifications and other digital marketing certifications are preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience servicing North American clients is an asset

  • Provide convincing, creative ideas worthy of investing time and effort in. This role is at the core of the marketing team, and others will rely on your work every day.
  • Writing content information to entice potential customers who will help drive traffic to increase sales
  • Create articles, blog posts, whitepapers, slideshows, presentations, reports, product pages, descriptions, and optimize landing pages
  • Liaise with digital marketing manager, clients and project managers to ensure top results
  • Responsible for managing multiple social media channels and improving brand positions of clients through respective channels
  • Create 1-2 free resources each month to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.)
  • Blog on an ongoing basis on ongoing projects and to attract site visitors through search, social, and our email subscribers
  • Grow subscriber base by providing regular, helpful content that’s in-tune with their needs
  • Collaborate with designers, product marketing, sales, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate carries a dual-minded approach to his or her work by being highly creative and an excellent writer, and at the same time is process-driven and relies on data to make decisions.

This candidate has excellent command of the English language and is a prolific and talented content creator to write and produce various projects and blog regularly in order to expand our company’s digital footprint, awareness, subscribers, and leads. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience producing content for the web specifically, as well as channel-specific knowledge (blog, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) as well as experience building audiences either online or offline. He or she will have In-depth knowledge of the HubSpot Content Optimization System to blog and produce smart CTAs according to visitor lifecycle stage.

A Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in English, the Arts or Marketing is preferred. Previous experience in writing as a journalist, blogger, content writer, or produced any publications is an asset but not a must.
